Founder
Carlos Alvarez is the founder of Intel-Ventures, a venture creation and strategic development platform focused on building high-growth companies at the intersection of technology, capital markets, and real-world industries.
Over the past decade, Carlos has built his career designing financing ecosystems that allow industries to scale. His expertise spans structured finance, private credit, renewable energy and resiliency finance, real estate infrastructure, and venture creation. He played a pioneering role in the development of residential green bond originations in the United States and became one of the leading originators in the Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing market.
Carlos is known for approaching markets through a systems lens. Rather than focusing solely on individual investments or transactions, he specializes in building the capital infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, and platform models that enable entire industries to grow. His work frequently sits at the intersection of capital formation, public policy, technology platforms, and industry operations.
Through Intel-Ventures, Carlos partners with entrepreneurs, corporations, and investors to transform structural inefficiencies in industries into scalable ventures across PropTech, Construction Tech, Green Tech, FinTech, climate infrastructure, and digital capital markets.
“I believe industries grow when the right infrastructure exists. Capital infrastructure, technological infrastructure, and regulatory infrastructure. When one of those layers is missing, markets stall. My work is about designing and building those missing layers so entire industries can scale.”
